Pleomorphic Adenoma of the External Auditory Canal and Parotid Gland : Recurrence of an External Auditory Canal

【摘要】 <正>Pleomorphic adenoma(PA) is up until now the most common tumor of Parotid gland in the oral and maxillofacial region which mainly comes from Parotid epithelium. It was reported that PA of the external auditory canal is uncommon. However,in uncommon occasions the tumor can cover both Parotid gland and external auditory canal.Here we are reporting a case which the tumor metastasized from external auditory canal(EAC)to parotid gland and was removed by en bloc resection of parotid gland and the tragus by surgical treatment.It is essential of long-term follow up.It is because the PA occurs in both Parotid gland and external auditory canal is rare and PA has the potential for malignant transformation.更多还原
