【摘要】 益生菌是活的微生物,当人或动物摄入足够数量时将对其健康产生有益的影响;益生元是一种不易被消化的可食用物质,通过选择性地刺激肠道中有益细菌的生长,从而对宿主产生有益的影响,益生菌和益生元可用作替代补充剂,以发挥其健康作用。体内研究表明,益生菌和益生元的使用对于改善血脂谱,即降低血清、血浆总胆固醇、LDL-胆固醇、甘油三酯,增加HDL-胆固醇是安全有效的。然而,也有研究表明,益生菌和益生元对脂质谱没有显着影响,更对降低胆固醇血症的说法提出质疑。此外,对于益生菌和益生元发挥降胆固醇作用的有效剂量的相关研究较少,目前虽已提出益生菌和益生元可以通过各种机制来降低胆固醇,但需要更多的临床实验加以证实。更多还原

【Abstract】 Probiotics are live microorganisms that promote health benefits upon consumption, while prebiotics are nondigestible food ingredients that selectively stimulate the growth of beneficial microorganisms in the gastrointestinal tract. Probiotics and prebiotics could be used as alternative supplements to exert health benefits, including cholesterol-lowering effects on humans. Past in vivo studies showed that the administration of probiotics and prebiotics are effective in improving lipid profiles, including the reduction of serum/plasma total cholesterol, LDL-cholesterol and triglycerides or increment of HDL-cholesterol. However, other past studies have also shown that probiotics and prebiotics had insignificant effects on lipid profiles, disputing the hypocholesterolemic claim. Additionally, little information is available on the effective dosage of probiotics and prebiotics needed to exert hypocholesterolemic effects. Probiotics and prebiotics have been suggested to reduce cholesterol via various mechanisms. However, more clinical evidence is needed to strengthen these proposals.更多还原
