【Abstract】 As the air pollution gets worse over time,the concentration of PM2.5 and PM10 in atmosphere are rising rapidly and severely threats humans’ health,therefore,air filtration materials are drawing more attention than ever before.Traditional respirators are struggling to satisfy people’s needs,so more attention and efforts are paid on nanofiber-based filtration materials.Nanofibers are fibers with diameters in the rage of 1-100 ran,thus possessing nano-sized effects such as high specific surface area and transparency.Aramid nanofibers combine the excellent properties of aromatic polyamide and nanofibers,which make it promising building block in many fields including air filtration.This paper reviews the preparation methods and applications of nanofibers,summarizes the approaches to the fabrication of air filtration materials based on aramid nanofibers,and provides an outlook for this field according to the knowledge of the author.
