Zn-Mg-Al水滑石对低密度聚乙烯性能的影响

【摘要】 通过共沉淀法在微波辐射条件下合成一种水滑石阻燃剂(Zn-Mg-Al LDHs)(FR),分别将该水滑石阻燃剂和5种商业化的水滑石阻燃剂(LDHs)添加到低密度聚乙烯(LDPE)中进行共混改性,采用TG-DSC和SEM,及氧指数、烟密度、UL-94、拉伸强度、断裂伸长率、冲击强度测试各改性LDPE的阻燃性能和力学性能。结果表明:FR/LDPE的热分解温度范围最宽,残留物最多,最大分解速率对应的温度最高,具有很好的热稳定性。FR/LDPE的氧指数达最高(28%);垂直燃烧通过UL-94 V-0级;最大烟密度仅为0.24。成炭率的数据和SEM谱图表明:复合材料经燃烧后其表面形成了一层较致密的覆盖层,可减小烧蚀速率,降低了分解产物的质量损失速率,防止火焰蔓延~[1]。另一方面,隔热层隔绝了空气,起到阻止热传递、降低可燃性气体释放量和隔绝氧的作用,从而起到凝聚相阻燃作用。同时,FR/LDPE的拉伸强度、断裂伸长率和冲击强度与其他五种LDHs/LDPE相比,力学性能均有所增强。因此,FR有望成为一种兼具优良阻燃抑烟效果的阻燃剂~[2]。
【Abstract】 Zn-Mg-Al hydrotalcites(FR) was prepared by coprecipitation under microwave crystallization. The obtained FR hydrotalcite and commercial LDHs were adopted to add into the low density polyethylene(LDPE) by mixing modification method, respectively. The TG-DSC, FR property, mechanical property and SEM of different composites were measured and compared. The results indicate that FR/LDPE composite has good thermal properties with a wide decomposition temperature, more char yield and a high maximum decomposition temperature. It also holds the highest LOI of about 28, while maintains the lowest Dm of 0.24. The FR grade(UL-94) reaches V-0 standard. The char yield and SEM image revealed that the charred layers of FR/LDPE can prevent further burning. The mechanical property of FR/LDPE is better than that of others. Thus, FR is expected to be used as a high-efficiency flame retardant with the function of smoke suppression.
