碱金属蒸气激光器最新研究进展

【摘要】 碱金属激光器具有量子效率高、热管理性优良、光束质量好以及容易实现高功率输出的优势,可广泛应用于工业、医疗、军事和科研等众多领域,是目前激光领域研究的重点之一。本文首先回顾了LD泵浦碱金属蒸气激光器(Diode-pumped alkali-vapor lasers,DPALs)及其倍频技术的研究进展。然后简要介绍了近年来在该领域出现的一些新技术,包括复合态激发碱金属激光器(XPAL)、光子晶体光纤(PCF)DPALs、在碱金属蒸气池内通过双光子激发和双光子吸收机制产生红外以及蓝紫激光。最后讨论了光致电离效应对DPALs和XPAL的影响,并简要地介绍了流动介质DPALs技术。

【Abstract】 With a number of positive features such as high quantum efficiency, reduced thermal problem, excellent optical quality and scalability to high power, the alkali-vapor lasers, are under extensive research for it potential applications in industry, medical, national security and science. In this paper we present a brief review of the latest achievements in diode-pumped alkali-vapor lasers, DPALs, and the second harmonic generation based on them. And then we make an analysis of some novel techniques such as exciplex pumped alkali laser( XPAL), photonic crystal fiber DPALs(PCF-DPALs) as well as infrared and blue-violet laser generated by two-photon excitation and two-photon absorption in the alkali vapor. In the end, we present a discussion of the effects on DPALs and XPAL by photoionization as well as a brief introduction about flowing-gas DPALs.
