【Abstract】 Stirling engine is an external combustion closed circulation reciprocating piston engine. Comparing with internal combustion engine, Stirling engine has smaller vibration noise, lower emissions, more simple structure and wider fuel adaptability, can be applied to many special application occasions, such as underwater power, space power supply etc. Under the guidance of the CSIC spirit of "Revitalization of the shipbuilding industry, innovation and transcendence", Shanghai Marine Diesel Engine Research Institute always persist firmly in commitment to the Stirling engine research and development work, adhere to independent innovation, and constantly go beyond the self, made a series of achievements, successfully created a "Chinese heart" for our Chinese ship.
