高等有机化学双语教学课程建设探索
Bilingual Course Construction and Exploration of Advanced Organic Chemistry

【摘要】 高等有机化学的双语教学建设,不但是学科本身与时俱进的发展需要,也是有机化学与其他学科交叉渗透、协同创新的迫切需求。课程选用Michael B.Smith所编著的《March’s Advanced Organic Chemistry》(7th edition,2013),重点围绕四个部分展开课程体系教学内容:(1)有机理论;(2)有机结构;(3)有机反应历程;(4)有机化学前沿进展。针对双语教学特点,将传统的课堂灌输转变为课程教学、英语课堂讨论、翻转课堂(Flipped Classroom)自学和习题训练、作业与考核四个环节有机结合,着力训练学生自主学习、研究性学习、探究性学习的能力。同时在教学中提高英语课堂讨论比重,将英语提问、发言和讨论情况作为平时成绩进行考核,并通过课后作业培养学生阅读英文文献的良好习惯,着重考察学生对《高等有机化学》基本理论与方法的掌握与应用程度。此外,在课程中积极营造数字化、信息化环境和外语教学环境,推广双语课程网站建设,最终达到培育具有国际化视野、基础知识扎实、能力全面、创新素养好的人才的目的。
【Abstract】 Bilingual Course of Advanced Organic Chemistry select the "March’s Advanced Organic Chemistry"(7th edition, 2013) edited by Michael B. Smith. The teaching content will be mainly focused on four parts :(1) organic chemistry theory;(2) organic compound structure;(3) organic reactions;(4) new frontiers in organic chemistry. Based on the characteristics of Bilingual Course, traditional classroom indoctrination will be reformed and converted to a combination of class teaching, English class discussion, Flipped Classroom, self-training and exercises, homework and exams. This could train the students to learn how to independent study and research study. Meanwhile, the proportion of classroom discussion in teaching will be increased. The performance in English questions and answers, presentations and discussions will be taken into account of the students’ final scores. The aim of the Course will be focus on the mastery and application of the basic theory and method in "Advanced Organic Chemistry".
