【Abstract】 A growing number of studies have shown that some of the antimicrobial peptides(AMPs),exhibit a broad spectrum of cytotoxic activity against bacteria and cancer cell.The electrostatic attraction between the negatively charged components of bacterial and cancer cells and the positively charged AMPs is believed to play a major role in the strong binding and selective disruption of bacterial and cancer cell membranes,respectively.However,AMP activity can be specifically tuned through the attach of molecules, the specifically targeted antimicrobial peptides to preserve the protective normal flora whilst treating the majority of infective bacteria in the community.Cancer cell-targeting AMPs study would greatly facilitate the design of more potent and highly selective AMPs with a variety of modes of action against human cancer cells,as well as notable advantages over current drug-based cancer treatments.更多还原
