基于CDN的可扩展多级视频网格结构研究

【摘要】 针对二级结构的视频网格缺乏可扩展性的缺点,提出利用客户端主机的冗余处理能力,将部分客户端主机当作加盟服务器使用,以降低区域服务器的工作负载.详细论述了多级视频网格体系结构的设计和各服务器的工作模式,以及当加盟服务器突然失效时点播服务的平稳迁移.通过视频网格模拟器VGSim的仿真结果表明,可扩展多级视频网格结构中,区域服务器的工作负载和网络带宽的占用被大大减轻,整个系统的服务能力被有效增强.

【Abstract】 There is a disadvantage of lacking the flexibility existed in the master-slave architecture of video grid for a single local server computer has limited capacity of processing. On the other hand, most client computers in the video grid have the redundancy capacity of processing while in VOD model. So, some client computers will be made as voluntary server computers to provide VOD services to other client computers, therefore, the payloads of the local server computers will be depressed. The architecture of video grid with scalable multilayers is produced, the designing process of the architecture and the process of the server computers is described in detail. The service of VOD will be transferred immediately while a voluntary server computer is failed abruptly. The simulating result made by the VGSim, a simulator of the video grid showed that the payloads of the local server computers and the costs of the network bandwidth are lightened greatly, the service capacity of the all system is enhanced effectually.
