【Abstract】 Recently,a lot of strategies for optimizing XML query processing have been proposed,but most of them focused on static multi-query optimization or single query processing.In this paper,we bring forward an approach for the network environment with large-scale XML documents on server side and a huge number of queries to be submitted to the server on client side.By this new approach,we can balance the server’s load and save bandwidth during the process.Also,by exploiting the containment between XML queries,we construct a flexible query tree whose structure can be used to arrange the order of the queries,so that the server’s load of query processing and result dissemination can be balanced to clients.In order to save bandwidth,we employ XGRIND to compress query results before publishing them to clients.Finally,a novel architecture for realizing this approach is proposed.Algorithm analysis indicates that the proposed approach provides an effective technique for XML multi-query processing, which guarantees that the queries are processed with high efficiency and accuracy.更多还原
