【Abstract】 In the complex OQL,path expressions are always included.Path expressions are one of the most time-consuming operations,so it is necessary to computing path expressions in parallel in order to improve the performance of OODBMS.This paper presents different scheduling execution plans for path expression,mainly considering parallel resources such as memory,network etc.,and puts forward a new ASAPE algorithm for constructing the most optimum scheduling execution plan.At the end of paper, cost models and simulation results are also shown.At present,NOW is a popular parallel architecture, and all the discussions for path expression in the paper are based on the cluster of PC environments.
