【Abstract】 We have successfully designed and synthesized smart hydrogel nanospheres which exhit linear and reversible PL thermo-responses in the temperature range of 10℃to 50℃.These thermo-sensitive PL hydrogels are Eu-doped PS-co-PNIPAM/PNIPAM microspheres,and their unprecedented PL thermo-response is different from that of previously-reported PNIPAM-based PL hydrogels.Our novel core/shell hydrogels are excellent candidates as PL thermometers,together with the potential in applications such as in optical sensing and bio-sensing.
