【摘要】 <正>Ever since China abandoned the equalitarian ideology in the 1980s,Chinese cities have been down on the road towards social-spatial fragmentation that is often observed in Western cities.While in the past,much research attention has focused on residential segregation, in this paper,we argue that studies of social-spatial segregation should pay attention to the segregation in the actual usage of space and time between people of residentially segregated.We analyze the daily usage of space and time of individuals living in different urban enclaves.Data were collected from more than 1,000 residents living in ten different neighborhoods in Beijing, the capital city of China.To shed light on social-spatial segregation,we compare the location,intensity,diversity and extensity of observed social spaces between individuals of economically privileged,institutionally privileged and others.Findings from this study provide fresh evidences on social-spatial segregation in Chinese cities.更多还原
