Celestial Impact on earth’s rotation rate and atmospheric pressure field

【摘要】 <正>Changes in LOD(length of day,equivalently earth’s rotation rate)versus variation in atmospheric geopotential height and astronomical parameters were examined for the years 1962 through 2006 to investigate the relationship between changes in earth’s rotation rate and atmospheric circulation.It is found that there is a 27.3-day and 13.6-day periodic oscillation in LOD and atmospheric pressure fields following alternating changes in lunar phase.It shows a high
