【Abstract】 A new kind of mesogen-jacketed liquid crystalline polymer(MJLCP)whose mesogenic side groups are asymmetrically bonded to the main chain was designed and synthesized.Their phase structures and transi- tions were investigated by polarized light microscopy and wide-angle X-ray diffraction experiments.The experi- mental results suggest that the polymers with asymmetric mesogenic core can develop into smectic phases.The phase structures of the polymers changed with different carbon number in the alkyl tails.更多还原
