纳米SiO2改性碳纤维乳液上浆剂

【摘要】 采用纳米SiO2改性环氧树脂乳液上浆剂和未改性乳液上浆剂对聚丙烯腈(PAN)基碳纤维进行表面上浆,利用扫描电子显微镜(SEM)、原子力显微镜(AFM)和动态接触角(DCAA)方法研究了未上浆、未改性和改性上浆碳纤维的表面状态,并用单纤维碎裂法评估了上浆剂对碳纤维与环氧树脂界面粘接的影响。结果表明:上浆后,碳纤维表面的粗糙度和表面能都增大。碳纤维经改性乳液上浆剂和未改性乳液上浆剂上浆后,其单纤维复合材料的界面剪切强度(IFSS)分别比未上浆的提高了79%和41%。说明上浆剂中添加纳米SiO2可以显著增强上浆碳纤维与基体树脂间的界面粘接。

【Abstract】 Polyacrylonitrile-based carbon fibers(CF) with unmodified emulsion sizing and nano-SiO2 modified emulsion sizing were prepared.Scanning electron microscope,atomic fore microscopy and dynamic contact angle analysis were used to study the surface morphological structures of CF under different sized conditions.The interfacial adhesion properties between CF and matrix resin were evaluated by the single fiber fragmentation test.The results show that the surface energy and toughness of CF are improved after sizing.Surprisingly,the surface energy and toughness of CF with modified emulsion sizing have maximum values.The interfacial shear strength of the modified sized CF and that of the unmodified sized CF are increased by 79%and 41%,respectively, compared to the unsized CF.Thus,the interfacial adhesion performances between the matrix resin and the sized CF modified by trace amount of nano-SiO2 are further increased.
