【Abstract】 Polymer battery would be attractive for its reliability, safety and designing. In this paper, PAA alkaline polymer electrolyte membranes were successfully prepared by a solution –casting technique. This polymer electrolyte membrane was employed in Ni/MH battery with an AB3 alloy as the negative active material. Compared with the Ni/MH battery with a KOH solution as the electrolyte, the Ni/MH polymer battery showed a longer cycle life and higher capacity retention, while its high rate capability was still far from satisfaction.
