【摘要】 <正>OBJECTIVE To find out the changing in serum concentration of sex hormones after the treatment of epristeride and finasteride.Providing with reference for medicine treatment of BPH. METHODS AND MATERIALS 88 clinic patients who had been diagnosed as BPH in 2005 and divided to two groups: epristeride and finasteride. To measure respectively serum concentration of sex hormones (LH; T; DHT; f-T; E2) at the beginning and 12 weeks later of treatment. RESULTS There was a difference in E2 and DHT after 12 weeks treatment in epristeride group.And a difference in LH, T and DHT after 12 weeks treatment in finasteride group.DISSCUSION Serum concentration of sex hormones will be changed by 5a-reductase inhibitors.But epristeride and finasteride have their feature in changing the lever of sex hormones.CONCLUSION Epristeride and finasteride are different type of 5a-reductase inhibitors.There are obvious difference between mechanism, active site and the changing in serum concentration of sex hormones after treatment.
