一个新的前端电子学系统一TKO系统
A New Front-end Electronic Systen——TKO

【摘要】 TKO(TRISTAN/KEK/ONLINE BOX)系统是日本 KEK(日本高能物理国家实验室)在分析了 CAMAC 和 FASTBUS 等设计上的优缺点后,而设计的前端电子学系统.该系统适用于虽有大量通道,但其中通常只有少量通道被命中和输出有效信号的探测器系统中.该系统的特点是并行操作,可数据压缩, 通迅约定简单,高可靠性及价格低廉.TKO 可单独与计算机构成小的数据采集系统,也可多台 TKO 机箱与一台 CAMAC VME 或 FASTBUS 机箱构成大的系统.本文简单介绍 TKO 的结构特点,构成插件(如 CH,GONG 和 MP 等),系统功能和工作原理以及对它的应用经验等.希望读者选用时对它能有个初步了解.
【Abstract】 TKO system is a front-end electronics system developed by KEK DataAcquisition Group after analyses of performance of CAMAC,VME and FASTBUS.It is specially suitable to the system with large number of channelsof which only few ones to be hit to be handled.Parallel processing,data compression,hand-shake operation cycle,simple protocol,advanced system design and low cost are the main featuresof TKO.It can work as one crate data acquisition system with micro—computerfor a small experiment and also can be com- bined into a large system with CAMAC,VME or FASTBUS together.It can also be used for a fast trigger system with large memory or with data processing system.Construction of TKO system,function of various modules of TKO andsystem operation procedure are presented here.
