Yb3+掺杂氟磷玻璃光谱激光性能研究

【摘要】 采用高温熔融法制备了一种新的Yb3+掺杂氟磷玻璃(AFG),测量了该玻璃的折射率nd(1.570 5)及Yb3+离子2F5/2能级的荧光寿命τf(1.80 ms),测试了它的吸收光谱、荧光光谱及析晶稳定性能,应用倒易法计算了Yb3+的受激发射截面可达0.928 pm2,增益系数可达1.670 4 pm2·ms。得到了较为理想的激光性能参数:激发态最小粒子数为 0.194 1,饱和抽运强度为6.197 5 kW/cm2,最小抽运强度为1.202 9 kW/cm2。研究结果表明该AFG玻璃的部分光谱激光性能优于其他Yb3+掺杂基质玻璃,是实现超短脉冲激光输出的优良基质材料。
【Abstract】 A new kind of Yb3+ -doped fluorophosphate glass(AFG) is prepared at high temperature, the refractive index of the glass(nd= 1.570 5) and the lifetime of 2F5/2(τf= 1.80 ms) are measured, also we tested the absorption spectrum,fluorescence spectrum and the crystallization stability, the emission cross section (0.928 pm2) of Yb3+ is calculated based on reciprocity theory, and the gain coefficient is estimated to be 1.670 4 pm2·ms. The laser properties of Yb3+ in AFG glass is well evaluated: excited state minimum populations is 0.194 1, pump saturation intensity is 6.197 5 kw/cm , minimum pump intensity is 1. 202 9 kw/cm2. It is found that some spectroscopic and lasing properties of AFG glass are better than other Yb3+ -doped glasses, and it is a good candidate for ultra short pulses.
