Immune Algorithm Solution of Coverage Problem in Sensor Networks

【摘要】 <正>In this paper, we study the coverage problem in wireless sensor networks (WSN) that "while maintaining the high ratio of coverage, to prolong the whole network’s lifetime by minimizing the number of nodes in the active mode and the energy consumption expended on the communication between nodes". It is a typical multi-objective optimization problems (MOP) . Herein, we apply immune algorithm (IA) to solve it, making full use of IA’s distributed, self-adaptive, colony diversity and rapid response features. Typical simulation results are given out at the end of the paper to verify the efficiency of our IA coverage problem solution.
