【Abstract】 Structural Mechanics is a very important course in the curriculum of civil engineering. This paper has presented its guiding ideology and characteristics in its course construction. Centering on its educational features in civil major, this paper also analyses the necessity that course construction should be combined with the practical engineering examples, and with the developing tendency of this subject.
