35GHz Low-Voltage Third-Harmonic Gyrotron with A Permanent Magnet System

【摘要】 本文对35GHz低压三次谐波永磁包装回旋振荡管作了系统性的理论与实验研究,所研究的回旋管采用了突变与渐变两种结构复合开放式互作用腔与单阳极磁控注入电子枪。建立了既考虑模式之间的耦合也考虑了多模与电子注互作用的注-波互作用自洽非线性理论,对注-波互作用作了详细的自洽非线性数值模拟:建立了磁控注入电子枪的数值模拟程序。利用该程序详细模拟并设计制作了单阳极磁控注入电子枪:工作在三次谐波的35GHz 回旋管工作磁场为永磁系统提供,约为4.5KG。设计、研制与测试了八毫米三次谐波永磁包装回旋管,在45KV电压、阴极电流32.2A下,得到了工作频率35GHz,脉冲输出功率 147.3KW、效率10.2%的参量。
【Abstract】 A systematic theoretical and experimental study on 35GHz low-voltage third-harmonic gyrotron with a permanent magnet system is presented in this paper. Two types of complex cavity structures with gradual and abrupt transitions, and a diode magnetron injection electron gun (MIG) are employed in the gyrotrons. A self-consistent field nonlinear theoretical investigation and numerical simulation for interaction between electron beam and RF fields in complex cavities are given. A diode MIG is simulated numerically in detail. The permanent magnet system provided magnetic field of about 4.5KGs in the cavity region of the gyrotron. The Ka band third-harmonic complex cavity gyrotrons with a permanent magnet system are designed, constructed and tested. An output power of 147.3KW was obtained at a beam voltage of 45KV with beam current of 32.2A, corresponding to an efficiency of 10.2%.
