【Abstract】 Nanostructured platinum has been electrochemically deposited from lyotropic liquid crystal template, composed of PEO-PPO-PEO triblock copolymer P123 (EO20PO70EO20) and H2PtCl6 aqueous solution. Observations of transmission electron microscope and scanning electron microscope show that the deposits are bunchy nanomaterials, made up of nanowires with high aspect ratio. Result from energy dispersion spectrum indicates it is single platinum. Measurements of cyclic voltammetry exhibit that the specific area is as high as 55 m2g-1. The influencing factors on the morphologies are investigated and the formation mechanism is discussed.
