【Abstract】 In this paper, five ternary complexes of Eu (III) were synthesized with benzoic acid (or its derivatives) as the first ligand and 1, 10-phenanthroline as the neutral second ligand. The influence of different aromatic acids on the fluorescence properties of ternary europium complexes was studied. The consecution of luminescence intensity was as follow, based on the most intense emission peak 5D0→7F2 (613 nm) of the europium complexes: Eu(p–MBA)3phen>Eu(m–MBA)3phen>Eu(BA)3phen>Eu(3,4–DMBA)3phen>Eu(o– MBA)3phen更多还原
