【Abstract】 The low temperature solid-state reaction of AgCl, and Bu4NI forms the complex of novel structure [Bu4N][Ag2I3]. The crystal of the cluster polymer belongs to orthorhombic, space group Pnma, with the crystal cell parameters: a = 7.3670(13) ?, b = 12.579(4) ?, c = 18.158(4) ?, V = 1682.7(7) ?3, Z = 8, R1 = 0.0587, wR2 = 0.1285. The third-order nonlinear absorption coefficient and third-order nonlinear refractive index are respectively, α2 = 6.37×10-11 m/w and n2 = –3.6×10-18 m2/w.
