CdS/Au复合纳米棒和空心Au纳米管的制备
Preparation of Au-CdS composite nano-rods and hollow Au tubes

【Abstract】 The preparation and utilization of 1D semiconductor nano-rods arise many interests in modern materials science. We show the growth of Au nano-particles (NPs) onto CdS nano-rods (NRs) to form a novel metal-semiconductor composite material using chemical reduction combining electroless deposition technique. Much less Au seeds will form on negative-charged surface of CdS nano-rods than that on the positive-charged ones. After electroless deposition, Au layer can grow thicker to form Au@CdS composite nano-rods. Finally hollow Au tubes with continuous shell can be obtained after removing inner CdS cores with hydrochloric acid.
