具有可逆超疏水/超亲水转换特性的二氧化锡纳米棒薄膜
Switchable wettability between superhydrophobicity and superhydrophilicity on tin oxide nanorod films

【Abstract】 Wettability of solid surface is an important surface property. The realization of switchable wettability on solid surface is significant in meeting the demand in smart microfluidic devices. In the present work, well-aligned tin oxide nanorod films have been prepared via low temperature hydrothermal method. The wettability of the films can be switched between superhydrophobicity and superhydrophilicity by the alternation of UV-irradiation and dark storage. The films show superhydrophobicity with water contact angle of 154.0o before UV-irradiation, while turn to superhydrophilicity when exposed to UV-irradiation for 2 h. By keeping the films in dark for a period time, the wettability can return to the initial superhydrophobic state again. And the cycles can be repeated for several times. The study is promising in meeting the demand in smart microfluidic devices and extending the application of tin oxide films.
