【Abstract】 Hydrogen is a best kind of green energy with high calorific value. Its development has very important denotation of strategy in the world. At present, catalytic decomposition of methane is an attractive method for CO/CO2-free production of hydrogen. Use of activated carbon catalyst for thermocatalytic CO2-free production of hydrogen from methane offers several advantages. This paper introduces the current status, progress and developing trend of the technique of production hydrogen from catalysis methane decomposition over activated carbon abroad.
