【Abstract】 Environmental concerns have driven the need to remove many impurities from FCC gasoline. Therefore, Oxidative desulfurization(ODS) has been given much interest as a further new technology for deep desulfurization of light oil recently. It is evident that the greatest advantages of the ODS process are low reaction temperature and pressure, and that expensive hydrogen is not used in the process. Another feature of ODS is that the refractory sulfur compounds in ODS are easily converted by oxidation Therefore, ODS has great potential to be a complementary technology to traditional HDS for producing deeply desulfurized light oil.
