【Abstract】 It becomes considerable interest in redesign of artificial imitation of enzyme to mimic the properties of Glutathione Peroxidase (GPx). In the present work, our group utilized a perfect cysteine auxotrophic system to bioincorporate the catalytically essential residue selenocysteine (Sec) into the catalytic center of prosubtilisinE by the genetic engineering for the first time.
