【Abstract】 The hydrologic and sediment characteristics and fluvial process of the river that the water intake of HeShuYuan electric generating plant in has been analyzed in this paper, under the different hydrologic and combining conditions, by using of the test of flow and giving sand on the fixed bed physical model, the scheme of defending the sand with the guide wall and debris retaining structure to combine has been proposed.
