面向普适计算的虚拟桌面服务系统设计

【摘要】 通过采用透明的计算服务实现信息和物理空间的有机融合是普适计算研究的一个重要内容。为了将个人计算环境中获得普遍应用的桌面服务作为普适计算透明服务机制,本文提出了一种面向普适计算的虚拟桌面服务系统。系统采用面向服务组件和基于中间件的分层设计原则,构建开放的系统层次结构。系统通过应用服务管理、连接访问控制及用户虚拟桌面环境管理,为普适计算环境提供了基于桌面方式的透明应用服务.
【Abstract】 Based on the interconnected discrete and heterogeneous system, pervasive computing environment is a kind of transparent one. How to use desktop service as a kind of transparent service mechanism in a pervasive computing environment is an important problem to solve during the transition from personal computing to pervasive computing. The technology about user interaction in pervasive computing environment has been developed in recent years. However, most researches focus on the improvement of user interface instead of the support for universal system desktop environment. As far as grid is concerned, most projects aim at batch jobs. The interactive graphic user interface and multimedia applications can not be supported in these projects. There are also some systems of grids supporting interactive jobs, but universal desktop computing has not been supported yet. Pervasive computing demands the uniform desktop application services. Besides, there are some flaws of grid system’s support for interactive desktop applications. Therefore, a kind of distributed desktop service management system for pervasive computing is put forward. In the system, the hierarchy model and the design based on service components are applied. Furthermore, some services, such as user session space service, desktop application space service, terminal devices space and system resource awareness, are implemented. Combined with multipoint communication mechanism, these services cooperate with each other to support desktop application environment in pervasive computing. The virtual desktop service (VDS) system is composed of multiple-node smart service domain and terminals environment. The smart service domain consists of multiple nodes as servers, in which service management system, access control system and virtual interactive desktop system are supported. Service components of service management system comprise registration, request and delivery of services. Requests of terminals for link, access control and identity authentication are involved in access control system. The VDS system should be emphasized as the kernel of all the system. The desktop system describes the procedure of terminals’ sending request to service domain for the VDS system as well as the mapping of desktop application and terminal devices. Besides, resource awareness needed by applications and devices management are described by the desktop system. Eventually, the virtual desktop environment and access commands of devices are mapped from the service domain to the terminals. Through the flow aforementioned, users in pervasive computing environment are provided with virtual desktop computing environment and devices space. The software system of the VDS system is designed as hierarchical structure. There are five layers. They are respectively application service layer, space mapping and resolution layer, communication layer, operating layer and hardware layer. Such system services as service running, space mapping and communication are respectively distributed through different layers. As the most important part of the VDS, virtual desktop computing environment contains several service components. The user session space management, the application space management and the device management are three essential service components. The user session space management is responsible of maintenance of user sessions and message transportation between servers and terminals; the application space management is up to management of desktop applications and mapping of virtual desktop; the device management provides a kind of mapping mechanism for device access and communication mechanism for communication of request message of device among sessions. In general, these three service components form the kernel of the whole VDS. Aiming at supporting desktop applications in pervasive computing environment, this paper proposes a kind of solution for desktop applications for pervasive computing. The system design for services and components, system middleware and open hierarchical structure of protocol are provided in the system. By cooperation of several services including the service management, the access control over link and the virtual desktop applications management, desktop application environment is provided to meet the needs of interaction of computing and access to devices space. The following step of the project is the scientific evaluation of the system performance. Moreover, it is essential in concurrent interactive applications environment to carry out the scheme of jobs schedule and resources optimization based on the perfection of awareness and analysis of the system resources.
