【Abstract】 In the present study, a preliminary protocol was developed for delivering foreign genes into banana tissues via particle bombardment and Agrobacterium tumefaciens-me-diated method. The truncated MP (movement protein) gene of banana bunchy top virus was thus introduced into the meristematic tissue of banana and some possible transient seedlings were then obtained by this protocol. MP gene could be checked by PCR, indicating possible success of transformation. Further research work is in progress.更多还原
