农作物细胞工程育种:现状与未来

【摘要】 细胞工程技术应用于作物育种具有育种周期短、遗传变异丰富和不存在基因安全性问题等突出特点,是生物技术应用于农作物品种改良中相对比较成熟的有效途径和方法。“九五”期间我国利用细胞工程技术育成各类作物新品种45个,推广种植面积1.65亿亩,增产粮油6O×10~8kg,并有效地开展了产业化探索,使我国植物细胞工程技术应用研究走在了世界前列。本文简要回顾了国内外细胞工程技术育种研究的进展,概述了我国农作物细胞工程技术育种的现状和特点,分析了细胞工程技术在作物遗传改进方面的作用与优势,探讨了“十五”及今后一段时间细胞工程技术育种创新研究和产业化发展思路与前景。

【Abstract】 Applying plant cell engineering to crop breeding has such outstandingcharacteristics as shortening the period of breeding, producing rich genetic variations andhaving no problem of gene security. So crop breeding via plant cell engineering is arelatively ripe and effective way for crop improvement by using biotechnology. During theperiod of Ninth Five--year Plan, 45 new varieties of various crops were developed via plantcell engineering. The planting area of these new varieties and new lines was spread to 165million mu, making the yield of grains and oil increase by 6 billion kg. At the same time,the industrialization exploration of plant cell engineering was carried out effectively. Allthese efforts made China stand in the world research on crop improvement via plant cellengineering home and abroad were looked back briefly and a forefront in the field ofresearch and application of plant cell engineering. In this paper the advances in the brief review of present situation and characteristics of crop breeding via plant cell engineering inChina was made. The paper also analyzed the effects and advantages of plant cellengineering in crop genetic improvement and probed into the innovation research andindustrialization trials and prospects of plant cell engineering during the Tenth Five--yearPlan and time after that.
