【Abstract】 This article briefly discusses the atmospheric problems related to the "West Development" of China. The west region of China contains different climate zones and complicated atmospheric processes, therefore, people should pay attention to the specified local processes of climate and synoptic in atmospheric study. However, the drought and coldness are the common features in the west region. The Tibet plateau is the key region in west atmospheric processes with its dynamic and thermal effects. Therefore, influence of the Tibet plateau must be placed in consideration of west atmospheric study, i.e., forcing processes of Tibet atmosphere to the local climate, weather and environment. Furthermore, several processes must be included in atmospheric studies related to Chinese west region. For example, impact of the Tibet thermal forcing on the atmospheric environment processes, mountainous circulation forced atmospheric mass exchange between the surface and the free atmosphere and the atmospheric chemistry under strong UV radiation.更多还原
