一种带光放大器的可调波长路由器
A New Tunable Wavelength Router with an Optical Amplifier

【摘要】 将常规声-光1×2可调波长路由器作为基本单元,通过“光放大器+级联可调波长路由器”方式,提出了一种可广泛应用于各种动态波长路由多波长光网络的新型带光放大器的可调波长路由器。因声-光可调波长路由器具有很好的集成性,从而该可调波长路由器的级联结构可通过集成方法实现;由于内置了宽带光放大器,级联带来的各种插入损耗可得到完全补偿;由此,该新型可调波长路由器实现了“0”插入损耗。
【Abstract】 By using conventional acousto-optic 1x2 tunable wavelength routers (TWRs) as basic elements and adopting the form of the "optical amplifier + cascaded-arrayed TWRs", a new TWR with an optical amplifier is proposed for large-scale dynamic wavelength-routing multi-wavelength optical networks. Through the acousto-optic TWRs have very good integrated property, the cascade structure of this TWR can be fulfilled with the integrating way. Since a broadband optical amplifier is set up in this TWR, the insertion losses caused by the cascading can be efficiently compensated in the TWR. Therefore, the nought insertion losses of the TWR can be carried out.
