【摘要】 本报告是一项基于苏珊·巴斯奈特文化翻译理论的翻译实践研究。研究对象为夏洛特·塞蒂贾迪所著的《疏落的记忆》关键章节,本书文本具有学术性和叙事性的结合特点,作者以东南亚学术研究为基础,通过深入研究东南亚各国的华人社群,探讨了他们在当地社会中的地位、身份认同和归属感等议题。同时,作者采用了讲述个人故事和采访的方式,通过具体的案例和真实的生活经历,将抽象的学术研究与实际情境相结合,使读者能够更加贴近实际,沉浸式深入地了解东南亚华人的身份认同问题,深入探讨了印尼华人在后苏哈托时代的身份政治问题。作为一部涉及文化身份和记忆的著作,书中充满了丰富的文化指涉和历史背景,使得翻译工作既具挑战性也具有重要的研究价值。本研究以巴斯奈特的文化翻译理论为指导,特别强调了“翻译应以文化为单位”的核心原则。源文本《疏落的记忆》具有浓厚的东南亚文化尤其是印尼文化气息,涉及较多的文化负载词、专业术语、长句等,因此,针对文本中的翻译难点,译者在文化翻译理论的指导下依据具体情况运用了不同的翻译技巧,进而向目标语读者准确地传递源语文化信息,以实现文化的交流和传播。对于文化负载词和专有名词的翻译,译者采用了文化移植的翻译策略,包括阐释移植、对等移植、替代移植,以实现译入语与源语在文化功能上的对等并凸显译入语的文化特性。在句的翻译上,译者采用了音译加注、直译、意译等方法,来应对印尼文化背景词句方面的翻译;而针对长难句的翻译,译者则运用了转换法、增译法、省译法、调整与重构等方法去处理;在语篇翻译上,译者从文化差异、文化冲突、文化融合三个角度进行分析。本报告旨在通过对《疏落的记忆》的翻译实践,展示文化翻译理论在处理跨文化文本时的实际应用和效果,为后续的翻译实践和研究提供参考和启示。更多还原

【Abstract】 This report is a translation practice study based on Susan Bassnett’s cultural translation theory.It focuses on key chapters of Memories of Unbelonging by Charlotte Setijadi.The book combines academic and narrative elements,using scholarly research on Chinese communities in Southeast Asia to explore issues of status,identity,and belonging.It also incorporates personal stories and interviews,linking abstract academic research with real-life contexts to provide an immersive understanding of identity issues among Chinese in Southeast Asia,particularly in the post-Suharto era in Indonesia.As a work on cultural identity and memory,the book is rich in cultural references and historical context,making its translation both challenging and highly valuable for research.Guided by Bassnett’s cultural translation theory,this study emphasizes the key principle:"translation should be culture-based".The source text,Memories of Unbelonging,is steeped in Southeast Asian,especially Indonesian,culture and contains many culturally loaded terms,technical terms,and complex sentences.To address these challenges,the translator employed various techniques under the cultural translation theory.For culturally loaded terms and proper nouns,strategies like interpretive,equivalent,and substitutive transplantation were used to achieve cultural functional equivalence and highlight the target culture’s characteristics.For sentences,methods such as transliteration with annotation,literal translation,and free translation were applied,while long and complex sentences were handled using conversion,addition,omission,and restructuring.In discourse translation,the translator analyzes it from three perspectives:cultural differences,cultural conflict and cultural integration.This report aims to demonstrate the practical application and effectiveness of cultural translation theory in translating cross-cultural texts through the translation of Memories of Unbelonging,providing insights for future translation practice and research.更多还原
