【摘要】 阅读在初中英语教学中占有举足轻重的作用。然而,大多数学生对英语阅读不感兴趣,且阅读得分普遍不高。导致这种负面现象的一个主要因素是以课堂为基础,以教师为中心的传统的阅读教学方式。学生被动地接受知识,缺乏学习英语的动力和创造力。为了改善这种状况,本文探索了问题导向教学法在初中英语阅读教学中的应用。问题导向教学法是一种以问题为导向、以学习者为中心的教学方法,它使学习者主动研究,整合理论和实践,并运用知识和技能,为一个确定的问题制定可行的解决方案。本文的研究问题如下:问题1:问题导向教学法对学生的阅读动机有什么影响?问题2:问题导向教学法在多大程度上提高学生的阅读成绩?本研究基于建构主义和合作学习理论,在河南省长垣市一所初中进行了为期三个多月的实验。八年级两个平行班的98名学生参加了这个实验。实验班是3班,有48名学生,对照班是2班,有50名学生。实验班采用问题导向教学法,对照班采用传统教学法。之后收集并分析了问卷、测试和访谈的数据。实验结果表明,问题导向教学法在英语阅读中的应用能有效地提高学生的阅读动机。此外,与传统教学方法相比,问题导向教学法可以提高学生的英语阅读成绩。本文还讨论了本研究的局限性以及对未来研究的建议。更多还原

【Abstract】 Reading plays a pivotal role in English teaching in junior high school.However,most students are not interested in English reading and generally do not score high.A major factor that leads to this negative phenomenon is the traditional way of reading teaching,which is lecture-based and teacher-centered.Students only receive knowledge passively,lacking the motivation and creativity of learning English.In order to improve the situation,this thesis explores the application of Problem-based Learning(PBL)in junior English reading teaching.PBL is an instructional problem-oriented and learner-centered approach that empowers learners to conduct research,integrate theory and practice,and apply knowledge and skills to develop a viable solution to a defined problem.The research questions are as follows:Question 1: What effect does the application of Problem-based Learning have on students’ reading motivation?Question 2: To what extent can the application of Problem-based Learning improve students’ English reading achievements?On the basis of Constructivism and Cooperative Learning Theory,this thesis conducted experiment in a junior high school in Chang Yuan City,He Nan Province for more than three months.Ninety-eight students from two parallel eighth grade classes participated in this experiment.The experimental class was class 3 with 48 students and the control class was class 2 with 50 students.The experimental class were taught by Problem-based Learning and the traditional teaching method was adopted in the control class.The data from the questionnaires,tests and interviews were collected and analyzed.The results of this experimental thesis show that the application of Problem-based Learning in English reading can effectively improve students’ reading motivation.Moreover,Problem-based Learning can improve students’ English reading performance compared with traditional teaching methods.Limitations of this thesis and and suggestions for future research are also discussed.更多还原
