【摘要】 全球气候变化已在多个方面对人类的生存与发展产生深远影响,成为当今世界各国国家安全战略考虑的重要因素。因此,翻译相关领域的英文文献尤为必要。翻译是概念整合的过程。《美国海军报告:气候变化对国家安全的影响》中词汇翻译的概念整合过程受到目标语的语言特点、语言表达习惯、以及原文本语言特征等因素影响,因此目标语词汇词义的确定较为困难。而能否准确把握词义对提高译文质量至关重要,因此本报告在概念整合理论的指导下,分析军事语境下词汇翻译的镜像概念整合、单域概念整合和双域概念整合过程,并分别提出直译法和意译法、加注法和改译法、引申法和释义法等六种翻译方法,使译文既忠实于原文,又符合目标语表达习惯,且不失军语特点,实现军事英语词汇翻译的相对等效。以概念整合理论指导翻译实践并提出有效的翻译方法,既可以完整地传递出原文中蕴含的语义信息,又可以为军事英语词汇翻译提供更多理论视角和应用案例,从而拓展了军事英语翻译的理论和实践研究。更多还原

【Abstract】 The global climate change has already exerted a profound impact on the survival and development of human beings in many aspects,which has become a great concern of national security all over the world.Thus,the need for translating literature in relevant fields becomes increasingly urgent.Translation is the process of conceptual integration.The conceptual integration process of translating the vocabulary in the National Security Implications of Climate Change for U.S.Naval Forces is affected by many factors including the linguistic traits of the target language,audience preferences,and the linguistic nuances of the original text.These factors contribute to the complexity of determining the precise meaning of the vocabulary in the target language,thereby emphasizing the importance of comprehending its meaning accurately to enhance translation quality.Guided by Conceptual Integration Theory,this report delves into the processes of mirror conceptual integration,single-scope conceptual integration,and double-scope conceptual integration in lexical translation within military contexts,and thus proposes six translation methods: literal translation and free translation,annotation and adaptation,extension and interpretation,in order to make the translation not only faithful to the original text but also aligning with the conventions of the target language without sacrificing the essence of military terminology,and achieve relative equivalence of vocabulary translation in military English.With the framework of Conceptual Integration Theory,this report proposes effective translation methods for practice,aiming to fully convey the underlying information in the source texts.It offers additional theoretical perspectives and case studies to enhance the field of vocabulary translation in military English,thereby advancing both theoretical and practical research in this domain.更多还原
