【摘要】 随着人工智能、物联网、大数据等新技术的不断突破和深入,以及国家大力支持“新基建”的推进大背景下,中国智慧城市建设正在如火如荼地进行中。但城市治理的智能化、数字化仍存在不足,部分地区“城市病”问题日益严峻。为解决城市发展难题,实现城市可持续发展,建设智慧城市已成为当今世界城市发展不可逆转的历史潮流。翻译实践的原文本是一篇关于智慧城市的科技文本。科技英语以内容和读者为中心,主要目的在于传达信息,其最大特征为实用性。因此,在做科技英语翻译时,翻译方法必须灵活。为了兼顾译文的可读性和目标语读者的接受效果,笔者采用黄忠廉教授的变译理论来指导翻译实践。笔者采用变译理论增、改的变通手段翻译原文中大量缩略语和专业词汇。笔者采用减、编、述的变通手段处理原文中长难句、定语从句以及被动句,便于读者理解信息。为使译文更加简洁,笔者运用缩的变通手段把修饰成分过多的段落进行压缩。笔者运用并的变通手段将原文里两个或两个以上具有相同意义或有着显著逻辑关系的段落合并起来,增强译文的可读性。更多还原

【Abstract】 As the continuous breakthrough and deepening of new technologies such as artificial intelligence,internet of things and big data,as well as the national support for the promotion of “new infrastructure”,the construction of China’s smart cities is in full swing.However,there is still a shortage of intelligent and digital urban governance,and the problem of “urban disease” in some areas is becoming increasingly serious.To solve the problems of urban development and achieve sustainable urban development,building smart cities has become an irreversible historical trend in urban development in the world today.The original text of the translation task is a scientific text on smart cities.Scientific English is centered on content and readers,whose main purpose is to convey information,and its biggest feature is practicality.Thus,the translation method must be flexible in scientific translation.To combine the readability of the translation with the acceptance effect of the target language readers,the translator adopts the Translation Variation Theory of Professor Huang Zhonglian to guide this translation task.The translator uses the addition and adaptation strategy to translate lots of abbreviations and technical terms in the source text.The translator also adopts deletion,edition and narration strategy to deal with long and complex sentences,attributive clauses and passive voices of the source text to make the information easy for readers to understand.The translator uses the condensation strategy to compress the paragraphs with too many modified elements to make the translation more concise.The combination strategy is used to combine paragraphs with the same meaning or significant logical relationship in the source text to enhance the readability of the translation.更多还原
