【摘要】 本文以克里斯提娜·劳伦所著《灵魂伴侣方程式》一书中的第一章节至第三章节为文本主要分析对象,这部作品以一位单身母亲杰西在经历背叛之后重拾爱情与家庭的信心为线索,讲述了一个温暖的爱情故事。交际翻译理论是纽马克1981年提出的一个翻译策略,和语义翻译理论同时被提出。一经出现就有众多学者就这二种翻译策略进行研究和对比分析。而这两种翻译策略针对于不同的文本类型,语义翻译着重于原文的忠实性,而交际翻译更看重译文的流畅和可读性。本文选用《灵魂伴侣方程式》这部暂时无任何译本的小说,在交际翻译理论的指导下,从贴合译语词汇表达、顺应译语句型结构、关注译语语篇表达三个方面,针对文中的人物描写进行翻译与分析。人物描写包括人物对话描写,人物动作描写,人物心理描写等,对于人物形象的成功塑造起着至关重要的作用。而本文将去探究这类句子应如何翻译能更好的凸显人物性格特点。笔者在交际翻译理论的指导下,对书中人物描写的翻译进行案例分析,总结出一些小说人物描写句子翻译的可行技巧与常用方法,使译文不仅在忠实原文的基础上符合目的语的表达习惯,而且在保留文学性的同时兼具可读性。更多还原

【Abstract】 The report is based on the chapter one to three of the text The Soulmate Equation written by Christina Lauren.This book tells a warm love story about a single mother,Jessie,who regained her confidence in love and family after experiencing betrayal.Communicative translation theory is a translation strategy proposed by Newmark in 1981,which was put forward together with semantic translation theory.As soon as these two translation strategies appeared,many scholars conducted research and comparative analysis on them.The two translation strategies are suitable to different text types.Semantic translation focuses on the faithfulness of the original text,while communicative translation pays more attention to the fluency and readability of the target text.The report chose The Soulmate Equation,a novel which has no translation for the time being,and analyzed the translation on the description of characters from three aspects : fitting to the lexical selection,conforming to the sentence structure and paying attention to the textual expression of the target language under the guidance of communicative translation theory.Character description includes dialogue description,action description,character psychological description and so on,which are of great use to the shaping an character image.The author explored how such sentences can be translated to better highlight characteristics.Under the guidance of communicative translation theory,the author carried out case analysis of the translation on character description,and summarized some feasible skills and common methods for the translation of character description sentences,so that the translation can not only conform to the expression habit of the target language on the basis of fidelity to the original text,but also keep the literariness and readability at the same time.更多还原
