【摘要】 随着全球化进程不断加快,国际间技术交流日益频繁,技术类文本翻译在此过程中发挥着重要作用。功能对等理论由Nida(1969)首次提出,并由de Waard和Nida(1986)进一步完善,该理论强调翻译应确保目标语读者对译文的反应与源语读者对原文的反应尽量一致,即该理论强调目标读者,注重译文的交际功能。在该理论指导下,报告作者完成了由山东黄河三角洲纺织科技研究院有限公司委托的《纺织百科全书》(节选)的英汉翻译。报告共分为六章。第一章主要介绍翻译任务的背景、意义及报告结构。第二章主要概述源文本的主要内容与语言特点。第三章从译前准备、译中挑战以及译后校对三个阶段描述翻译过程。作为报告的理论支撑,第四章主要阐述功能对等理论的背景与主要观点,分析该理论对此翻译任务的适用性。第五章是报告的主体部分,从词汇、句法和语篇三个层面系统归纳了任务完成过程中所采用的翻译策略。具体来说,词汇层面主要采用减译、增译与词类转换策略;句法层面主要采用分译、重组和语态转换翻译策略;语篇方面主要采用直译与衔接手段调整等翻译策略。作为报告的总结,第六章对任务完成过程中采用的翻译策略进行了归纳,并反思了个人在此次翻译任务完成过程中的磨砺与成长。更多还原

【Abstract】 With the constant acceleration of globalization,there has been increasing international technological exchange,in which the translation of technological texts plays an indispensable role.Initially proposed by Nida(1969)and further developed by de Waard and Nida(1986),Functional Equivalence Theory is intended to ensure that target readers’ responses to the target text are as similar as possible to those of their source counterparts to the source text.i.e.,this theory prioritizes target readers and centers on the communicative functions of the target text.Guided by this theory,the author of this report undertook the English-Chinese translation of Encyclopedia of Textile Finishing(excerpts),a task entrusted by Shandong Yellow River Delta Textile Science and Technology Research Institute Co.Ltd..As a whole,this report is composed of six chapters.Chapter One introduces the background and the significance of the task and the layout of the report.Chapter Two is devoted to a brief description of the source text,which includes its major ideas and linguistic features.Chapter Three presents the three-phased translation process,namely pre-translation preparations,while-translation struggles and post-translation editings.Serving as the theoretical underpinning,Chapter Four introduces Functional Equivalent Theory in terms of its background,its main arguments and its applicability to the task.As the main body of the report,Chapter Five makes case analyses with the guidance of Functional Equivalence Theory.Specifically,the translation strategies on the lexical level mainly include omission,word-class shift and amplification,the translation strategies on the syntactic level mainly include division,restructuring and voice conversion,and the translation strategies on the textual level mainly include literal translation and cohesive-devices adjustment.Being the summary of the report,Chapter Six takes stock of the translation strategies adopted during the fulfillment of the task and makes reflections on the personal pains and gains of the author of the report from the task.更多还原
