【摘要】 此次翻译实践为英译汉,采用的文本为美国信息技术与创新基金会2021年7月发布的报告《清洁与竞争力:美国制造业在全球低碳经济中领先的机会》(Clean and Competitive:Opportunities for U.S.Manufacturing Leadership in the Global Low-Carbon Economy),属于商务类文本。此文本深入地讨论了制造业、气候和贸易政策之间的关系,介绍了美国为实现零排放,在转向清洁生产的同时重建国内制造业所采取的战略及行动。因此,对此文的翻译可为我国在实现零排放过程中制造业的发展提供一定的参考。原文的写作风格客观简明,含有大量商务类专业术语和制造业专业术语,句子多为结构复杂的长句,因此本次翻译实践的重点是保证译文的专业、严谨、准确。本次翻译实践的难点是如何处理逻辑结构复杂的长句,用符合汉语习惯的表达准确传达原文内容,增强译文的可读性。本次翻译实践在实现原文本的用途与功能的基础上,尽力使译文达到最贴近原文的自然对等、意义完整、逻辑清晰从、用词准确,便于读者理解。本实践报告是对此次翻译实践的总结,重点分析了翻译实践过程中遇到的问题,包括词汇层面的词性不对等、一词多义、语义缺失以及代词指代不清问题;句子层面的语序处理问题和复杂长句的翻译问题。笔者以尤金·奈达的功能对等理论为指导,针对上述问题分别给出了解决方案:词汇层面的词性转换、根据语境确定词义、增译法、代词具体化;句子层面的语序转换、分译与合译,以实现译文忠实、通顺、准确的目标。笔者希望对相关问题的探讨,对其他译者有所帮助。更多还原

【Abstract】 The source text for translation from English to Chinese is a report issued by the ITIF entitled Clean and Competitive:Opportunities for U.S.Manufacturing Leadership in the Global Low-Carbon Economy.This text falls into business English text.This report explores the relationship among manufacturing,climate and trade policies,and describes the strategies and actions taken by the United States to achieve net-zero emissions and rebuild domestic manufacturing while turning to clean production.Therefore,the translation of the report can provide China with some reference for its development of manufacturing industry in the process of realizing net-zero emission.Characterized by objectiveness and conciseness,the original text abounds in specialized terms on business and manufacturing,and long and complex sentences.Therefore,the focus of this translation practice is to ensure the presentation of professional,rigorous and accurate translations.What makes the translation difficult lies in how to handle long sentences with complex logical relationships in order to transmit the original messages in line with Chinese way of expression,enhancing the readability of the translation.While realizing the purpose and function of the original text,this translation practice is aimed to achieve the closest natural equivalence of the source text.In the meantime,importance is attached to completeness,logic,accuracy to enable readers to better understand the source messages.This practice report is the summary of the translation practice.Special importance is given to such problems at the lexical level as nonequivalence in part of speech,polysemy,semantic absence and vague pronoun reference;and such problems at the syntactical level as how to address sentence order and long sentences with complex structures.Guided by Eugene Nida’s functional equivalence theory,the author offers solutions to the above problems,including conversion,contextualizing words,amplification,and concretizing pronouns as well as word order transformation,division and combination to achieve the goals of faithfulness,smoothness and accuracy.It is hoped that such discussions will be a boon to other translators.更多还原
