【摘要】 目前,由水污染和全球变暖等引起的新发和再发水源性传染病是影响发展中国家人口健康的主要原因。预防和治疗水源性传染病是维护国家和社会稳定、保障人民生命安全的重要手段之一。由于全球变暖、工业污染等原因,中国水源性传染病的爆发次数非常之多,造成了比较严重的后果,危害人民身体健康,阻碍社会经济发展。笔者选用了《水源性传染病》(Water-associated Infectious Diseases)的部分内容作为翻译实践对象。所选内容简要介绍了水源性传染病的病原体和流行病学,同时说明了污水和气候变化给水源性传染病带来的影响。笔者所选文本属于科技文本,语言平实、论述严谨、表达准确。为了准确传达原文本的信息,笔者选用了纽马克(Peter Newmark)的文本类型理论,综合运用各种方法翻译原文本。在词汇层面,具体运用了直译法翻译专业术语、语境化处理半专业术语、引申普通词汇词义。在句子层面,运用并列法翻译定语从句、语态转换法翻译被动句和拆分重组法翻译复合句。在语篇层面,从词汇衔接和语法衔接两方面进行翻译方法探讨。笔者希望通过本次翻译实践活动,为科技英语翻译工作者提供些许指导,同时帮助人们了解水源性传染病的基本知识,采取相对性的预防措施和诊治措施,也期望能为研究水源性传染病的学者提供些许指导。更多还原

【Abstract】 At present,new and recurrent water-associated infectious diseases caused by water pollution and global warming are the main causes of population health in developing countries.Prevention and treatment of water-associated infectious diseases is one of the important means to maintain national and social stability and protect people’s lives.Due to global warming,industrial pollution and other reasons,there are many outbreaks of water-associated infectious diseases in China,which have caused serious consequences,harmed people’s health and hindered social and economic development.The author selects part of “Water-associated Infectious Diseases” as the translation object,which briefly introduces the pathogen and epidemiology of water-associated infectious diseases,and explains the impact of sewage and climate change on water-associated infectious diseases.The text selected by the author is a typical text of science and technology,and its contents are objective and accurate.In order to accurately convey the information of the original text,the author uses various methods to translate the original text under the guidance of Newmark’s text typology.At the lexical level,literal translation is used to translate professional terms,the meaning of semi-professional terms is determined according to the context of professional knowledge,while semantic extension are used to translate common words.At the sentence level,coordinate method is used to translate attributive clauses,voice conversion method is applied to translate passive sentences and split and recombination method is used to translate compound sentences.At the discourse level,this paper discusses translation methods from lexical cohesion and grammatical cohesion.The author hopes that through this translation practice,it can provide some guidance for EST translators,help people understand the basic knowledge of water borne infectious diseases to take relative preventive measures and treatment measures,and also hope to provide some guidance for scholars studying water borne infectious diseases.更多还原
