【摘要】 随着“一带一路”构想的提出,中国与中亚地区的联系日益密切。作为“中巴走廊”重要展示窗口,中国驻巴基斯坦大使馆官网经贸合作新闻反映了两国经济贸易交流的动态,彰显了中国政府在对外开放层面所做出的努力和取得的显著成效。该网站不仅受到各国政府的广泛关注,也受到国内外民众的关注。新闻翻译是一种跨文化的交际活动。由于中英新闻文体的差异,全译在经贸新闻的英译中难以奏效。为了实现文本信息的有效转换,译者需要做出不同的变通选择以达到较好的翻译效果。黄忠廉教授提出的变译理论,为翻译提供了不同变译手段。本翻译实践报告结合变译理论,以作者参与的中驻巴大使馆经贸合作板块部分新闻稿英译为研究对象,探讨变译理论指导经贸新闻翻译的可行性。变译理论提出增、减、编、述、缩、并、改七种变译策略。作者选取其中的增译、减译、编译、缩译、并译五种策略,并结合具体实例,展现几种变通手段在经贸新闻翻译过程中的应用。通过分析经贸新闻的文体特点和梳理本次翻译实践中遇到的因译者多重信息选择和文化差异等因素导致的问题,本文提出一些参考性的解决办法,以期进一步改进新闻翻译的质量。一、原文偏好使用华丽辞藻,习惯重复表达相同或相近信息,应将信息用精练语言进行整合。二、原文在描述异域概念时习惯简要概括,应将其信息完整补充。三、原文内在逻辑比较隐蔽,应在目的语中添加关联词明确逻辑关系。四、由于源语言和目的语读者信息读取习惯的不同,应摆脱源语言在形式上的束缚,根据目标读者的阅读习惯,改变语句的顺序。由此,作者认为,变译理论在经贸新闻翻译中有一定的指导意义。此次翻译实践不仅提高了作者的翻译实践能力,更重要的是,为展示中巴两国在经贸合作领域取得的成就提供了展示窗口,让更多的人了解中巴走廊建设和一带一路建设。更多还原

【Abstract】 With the introduction of “the Belt and Road Initiative”,China’s connection with Central Asia is increasingly closer.As an important display window of the “China-Pakistan Economic Corridor”(CPEC),the official website of the Chinese Embassy in Pakistan plays a very important role,not only demonstrating the dynamics of economic cooperation and trade between the two countries,but also reflecting the efforts and fruitful results of Chinese government in opening up.Since news translation is a cross-cultural communication activity,considering the differences in news style between Chinese and English,it is somehow inappropriate to handle the translation of this website simply by means of full translation.Accordingly,in order to achieve effective conversion of text information,it is necessary for translators to make certain adjustments during translation.In this regard,the author found that the Translation Variation Theory by Professor Huang Zhonglian,aimed to provide different variation methods for translation,is workable in presenting some potentials.With a part of C-E news translation of the module Economic Cooperation& Trade on the website of Chinese Embassy in Pakistan completed by the author as the object,and in combination with the Translation Variation Theory,this report focused the study on feasibility of translating economic and trade news under the guidance of the Translation Variation Theory by selecting five specific translation devices among the seven translation strategies proposed in the Theory,namely,addition,deletion,edition,narration,condensation,combination and adaptation,and through exemplification to respectively illustrate the flexible application of such devices in the translation process.Next,on the basis of analysis of the stylistic features of economic and trade news,and categorization of the problems emerging in this translation practice which are caused by either translator’s selection of multiple information or cultural differences,some referential solutions are proposed in the report for further improvement of news translation.First,despite the frequent use of gorgeous expressions like four-character words and repetition in the source language,the same or similar information should be integrated in the target language.Second,because the source language tends to offer less information on alien concepts,in the translation the related information should be fully supplemented.Third,relevant conjunctions should be added to define the logical relations where the internal logic of source language is not obvious.Fourth,due to the difference in reading habits between source readers and target readers,the target language should be free from formal constraints,which calls for,as an example,proper adjustments of the sentence order to cater for the target readers.Therefore,through this practice,the author argues that the theory of translation variation is effective in the guidance for translation of economic and trade news.To conclude,this translation practice not only improves the author’s translating ability,but more importantly,helps to provide a display window for demonstrating the achievements of China and Pakistan in the field of economic cooperation and trade,so that more people could get familiar with the construction of CPEC and the Belt and Road Initiative.更多还原
