基于STS教育的“海水中的化学”单元教学研究

【摘要】 STS教育是初中化学重要的学习内容,同时也是培养学生科学素养的重要途径。鲁教版初中化学九年级下册《海水中的化学》单元更是提供了丰富的STS教育素材。本研究以“海水中的化学”内容为依托,探索形成一种基于STS教育的单元教学设计思路,以更好地落实STS教育理念,培养学生的科学素养。本研究以学生为中心,基于STS教育的基本理念,从“生活走进化学、科学促进技术、技术服务社会”三个角度设计了“海水中的化学”单元教学方案。在保证总课时数不变的情况下,将《海水中的化学》单元重新整合为三节:《认识海洋》、《海水探宝》及《物有所用》,并对每一课时进行了详细的教学设计。为了探查本研究中教学设计方案的有效性,我们选择山东省淄博市临淄区第二中学初四两个水平相当的班级作为研究对象,进行了为期三周的教学实践研究。并在教学结束后利用自主编制的测试卷、李克特量表问卷以及学生深度访谈对教学实践效果进行了测查。通过对测查数据进行认真、深入地分析,得到以下结论:(1)本研究的显著特色是借助海洋作为背景资源,引导学生多次模拟建厂,向学生渗透化工生产的思路。在此过程中,在严谨求实的科学态度指引下,培养了学生运用化学知识解决社会生活实际问题的能力,教会了学生利用科学的方法进行问题分析,显著提升了学生的综合能力。(2)新研究带来了新模式,新模式带来了大量学生喜闻乐见的STS素材,新的学习方法融入到了学习之中,更多的实验和活动被创设,大量参与课堂的机会呈现在学生的面前,明显提高了学生的学习积极性和参与度。(3)问卷和访谈结果证明本研究有效的促进了学生对STS内容本身的理解,学生理解了S-T-S三者之间的辩证关系;学生对STS内容很感兴趣,学习了化工产品的生产思路,对社会生活中的科学和技术更加关注。(4)本研究引导学生从化学的视角观察问题,选择了大量跟海洋、海水有关的资料和素材,并加以整合,拓宽了学生的视野,并借助多次模拟建厂的学习体验,拉近了学生与科学、技术的距离,使学生对社会问题的关注和参与意识显著增强。最后,我们对本研究中存在的问题和后续研究的方向进行了反思和展望。

【Abstract】 STS education is an important learning content of junior high school chemistry,and also an important way to cultivate students’ scientific literacy.The unit of chemistry in seawater,the second volume of ninth grade of junior high school chemistry in shandong education edition,provides abundant STS educational materials.Based on the content of "chemistry in seawater",this study explores the formation of unit teaching design idea on the basis of STS education,so as to better implement the STS education idea and cultivate students’ scientific literacy.Based on the basic idea of STS education,this student-centered research designed the unit teaching project of "chemistry in seawater" from three perspectives,they are "chemistry in life,science promotes technology and technology serves society".Under the condition of keeping the total number of class hours unchanged,the unit of “chemistry in sea water” was reintegrated into three sections: understanding the ocean,exploring the treasure of sea water and making good use of things,and designed each teaching period in datial.In order to explore the effectiveness of the teaching design scheme,in this study we selected two classes of Grade Four students who are at the same level form Linzi No.2 Middle School,Zibo City,Shandong Province as the research objects,and carried out a three-week teaching practice research.At the end of the teaching,the self-developed test paper,likert scale questionnaire and students’ in-depth interview were used to measure the teaching practice effect.Through careful and in-depth analysis of the survey data,the following conclusions are drawn:(1)The remarkable feature of this study is to guide students to simulate the establishment of factories for many times and infiltrate students’ ideas of chemical production by using the ocean as the background resource.In this process,guided by the rigorous and realistic scientific attitude,students have been trained to use chemical knowledge to solve practical problems in social life,and have been taught to use scientific methods for problem analysis,which significantly improves their comprehensive ability.(2)The new research brings a new model,which brings a large number of STS materials that are popular with students.The new learning method is integrated into the learning process,more experiments and activities are created,and a large number of opportunities to participate in the classroom are presented to the students,thus significantly improving theirlearning enthusiasm and participation.(3)Questionnaire and interview results prove that this study effectively promotes students’ understanding of the content of STS itself,and students understand the dialectical relationship among s-t-s;Students are very interested in the content of STS,they learn the production ideas of chemical products,and pay more attention to science and technology in social life.(4)This study guides the students to observe from the Angle of chemistry,in which a lot of useful information related to sea,sea water and material are chosen and integratd,which broaden the students’ vision,it also shortens the distance between the students and science and technology based on the learning experience of simulating factory many times,which greatly aroused the students’ attention to social problems and awearness of participation.Finally,the problems in this research are reflected and the direction of future research is prospected..
