【摘要】 船员面试和其他面试一样,往往是船东筛选船员最重要的一环。但是由于面试语境中交际双方明显的地位和权势上的悬殊,使得处于弱势的船员在面试中除了具备扎实的英语听、说能力外,还应积极采取有效的语用策略,使自己最终取得面试官的认同,获得有利于自己的结果。对此,本文以合作原则和礼貌原则为理论基础,采取定性和定量相结合的分析方法。为了反映船员英语面试语境的特点,作者搜集了船员外派公司中已经成功通过面试的船员参加面试的实地录音,并将录音转换为文字的形式以便研究。30名船员在英语面试中的录音被用来作为本研究的语料样本。基于具体的统计数据围绕合作原则和礼貌原则下的准则,分析合作原则和礼貌原则在船员英语面试中的应用以及如何利用有效的语用策略提高面试成功率。研究结果表明:在船员面试语境中,为了使交谈满足面试官的要求并不失礼貌被面试者的回答高度遵守合作原则和礼貌原则。少数回答中,为实现对自身有利的目的,被面试者选择违反合作原则和礼貌原则中的某些准则。此外,在船员英语面试语境中,被面试者对合作原则和礼貌原则下的每一个准则的使用也有其相应的特点。通过研究,本文分析了在船员面试语境中,成功的被面试者如何应用合作原则和礼貌原则来提高面试成功率。分析结果对准备参加英语面试的船员具有参考意义,为他们更加有效的应用语用策略带来一定的启示。更多还原

【Abstract】 The same as other interviews,seafarer’s English interview is the core part for shipowners to select crewmembers.But owing to the obvious disparity of status and power between the interviewer and interviewee,the less powerful subject-interviewee should actively adopt effective pragmatic strategies,except for solid English listening and speaking skills in order to win interviewer’s recognition and further gain pleasing results.The thesis is based on cooperative principle and politeness principle,combining both quantitative and qualitative analysis.In order to reflect the characteristic of seafarer’s English interview,the field recordings of seafarers,who are successful in interviews and joined their targeted companies,are randomly selected.Then these recordings are transformed into text in order to make convenience for the research.Recordings of 30 interviewees are employed as samples of the research.In accordance with the statistical results,the analysis is given around the maxims under the cooperative principle and the politeness principle.The analysis results illustrate the specific application of the cooperative principle and the politeness principle in the seafarer’s English interview and explain how interviewees use effective pragmatic strategies to increase the success rate of the interviews.The results demonstrate that in the context of seafarer’s English interview,a great number of answers given by interviewees observe cooperative principle and politeness principle to make the conversational contribution meet the interviewer’s requirement,simultaneously expressing politeness.Comparatively,only a small number of answers fail to observe some maxims under cooperative principle and politeness principle for achieving beneficial purposes.Besides,in the context of seafarer’s English interview,the application of each maxim of the cooperative principle and the politeness principle possesses its particular characteristics.How successful interviewees apply the cooperative principle and the politeness principle in the seafarer’s English interview to increase the successful rate is analyzed in the thesis.The analysis result has significance of reference for seafarers who are preparing to attend interview and it also provides some inspiration for seafarers to more effectively apply pragmatic strategies.更多还原
