刘敞《七经小传》解经考

【摘要】 刘敞《七经小传》,言约意丰,结论鲜明而论证不足,本文拟对其逐条考察,说明每一条解经的论据、来源、影响,条分缕析,辨其得失,庶几对解决《七经小传》中的疑难问题和正确评价刘敞有所裨益。绪论介绍本文的研究背景和研究方法。第一章分析《七经小传》的改经改传,疏理刘敞对各经文字和次序的考订。第二章考察《尚书小传》解经,第三章考察《诗经小传》解经,第四章、第五章考察《周礼小传》解经,第六章考察《仪礼小传》、 《礼记小传》、 《春秋小传》解经,第七章、第八章考察《论语小传》解经。第二章、第三章、第四章、第六章、第七章均首列解经索引,可快速查找《七经小传》论及了哪些经学问题,并于第一节总述刘敞解此经的特点。结论主要说明《七经小传》是一部稿本,刘敞在《七经小传》中曾试图建立一个儒家心性论体系,刘敞说经功底深厚、见解独到,乃一代大儒,绝非肆己意、骋妄说之徒,最後总结了《七经小传》的三大解经方法。

【Abstract】 Exegeses of Seven Classics by Liu Chang, a brief book with abundant connotations, is clear-cut in conclusion but obscure in argumentation. This thesis intend to investigate every entry in the book, excavating its reasoning, demonstrating its influence on later scholars, and discerning its gains and losses. The author hopes his efforts may contribute to solving difficult questions in the book and help evaluate Liu Chang’s doctrines appropriately.The Preface introduces the academic background and the research methods used in this thesis. Chapter One analyzes revisions to scriptures and annotations, including collating characters and adjusting sentences’sequence. Chapter Two investigates Exegeses of The Book of History. Chapter Three investigates Exegeses of The Book of Songs. Chapter Four and Chapter Five investigate Exegeses of Rite of Zhou. Chapter Six investigates Exegeses of Rites and Ceremonies, Exegeses of Classic of Rites, Exegeses of Spring and Autumn Annals. Chapter Seven and Chapter Eight investigate Exegeses of Confucian Analects. There are index and an overview of the exegeses of every classic in the first section of Chapter Two, Chapter Three, Chapter Four, Chapter Six, or Chapter Seven, so that a reader can find out what this chapter talks about quickly. The Conclusion sketches that Exegeses of Seven Classics is an unfinished manuscript, that Liu Chang attempted to establish a confucian theory of man’s Mind and Nature, that Liu Chang is a great confucian scholar, erudite and original in explaining ancient classics, who is definitely not an arbitary or reckless glossographer. Also, the Conclusion summarizes three methods Liu Chang adopted in his book to interpret the Seven Classics.
