【摘要】 探寻一个时期的发展变革的脉络，我们通常会找出它与前代不同的一些特征，通过比较方法加以区分，这样一来容易得出清晰的轮廓。就中国画自身发展而言，民国时期显现出的特征和清代相比，民国是继续按照当时的新文化发展趋势而走向繁荣。文化史和艺术史的研究越来越清晰的说明：在一个西方文化广泛传播到中国形势下，必然能出现继春秋战国时代“百家争鸣”之后的第二次大的思想争论——“白话文运动”。这使中国文艺从内外两个角度和多个层次有了新的突破和变异。内是指民国美术在清末变革中不彻底的地方和传统文化继承之间有所取舍和考量。外是指中国美术家在美术创作中对西方文化艺术的借鉴融合和为我所用，由此达到一个全新的审美境界。文章以辽宁地区中国画发展为参照，这一时期在视觉领域中的所有一流的创造，就是在动荡的社会背景中展开和完成的。同时，这种新的创造也在历史的检验中形成新的传统。更多还原
